The reading is the same as yesterday.

EXPERIENCES then is depression or anger, because what he DID was to exchange
Self-love for self-hate, making him AFRAID of himself. 4 He does NOT realize
this. 5 Even if he is fully aware of anxiety he does not perceive its source
as his own EGO IDENTIFICATION, and he ALWAYS tries to handle it by making
some sort of insane "arrangement" with the world. 6 He always perceives this
world as OUTSIDE himself, for this is crucial to his adjustment. 7 He does
not realize that he MAKES this world, for there IS no world outside of him."

Question: Please ask Holy Spirit to help you understand; who is the "he"
referred to in this passage? Love you, -k <<

Thank you -ken,

(pls, see ORIGINAL emphasis by author added to the above reproduction of
quote for better comprehension and fidelity to Source ;-)

IMO, the cosmology of ACIM allows the conclusion that interchangeably, "man"
and "mind" are addressed by this "he".

To recap; the text indicates that some members of the Sonship, God created
Souls/minds (interchangeable terms at various places in the text), decided
to engage in the authority fallacy, fell asleep (the only condition allowing
this experience, as the Father created the Atonement as a limit on the
Sons'ability to miscreate) and split off. Other members of the Sonship
stayed "Home" (see ie. "special agents" in text).

277. "When time is abolished, and all of the Sons of God have come home, no
special agents will be necessary. But do not underestimate the power of
special agents now, or the great need there is for them. I do not claim to
be more than that myself. No one in his Right Mind, (a term which should be
specially noted) ever wants either more or less than that. Those who are
called on to witness for me NOW are witnessing for all men, as I am."

In their shared dream of usurpation of true authorship the "separated ones"
"left" Level 1 (Knowledge, Heaven, Sonship) and dived into perception, where
they introduced splits and levels into the mind, and miscreated the ego (in
ACIM ego is the sum total of the separation thought system, and the
substitute author and identity for the insane part of mind, or "questioning
compartment"). By the way, I came to the conclusion, based on a literal
reading of the Course, that many Souls share(d) the same dream, rather than
One Son dreaming many dreams. However, let us look on this statement a bit
closer:

697. "The ego is the questioning compartment in the post-Separation psyche
which man created for himself."

What then is the "Pre-separation Psyche" that was created FOR or AS man?
What is a bit tricky is the question whether this temporary and by
definition illusory condition constitues mankind as Intended by Creator, or
as altered by man himself. The latter is most probable. Especially the
following passage obviously suggests (along with one Miracle Principle which
speak of "perfect man in the celestial order") that '"God created man in his
own image and likeness" is correct in meaning'.

727. "In electing the ability to perceive instead of the will to know, man
placed himself in a position where he could resemble his Father ONLY by
perceiving miraculously. But he lost the knowledge that he himself is a
miracle. MIRACULOUS CREATION was his own Source, and also his own real
function. "God created man in his own image and likeness" is correct in
meaning, but the words are open to considerable misinterpretation. This is
avoided, however, if "image" is understood to mean "thought," and "likeness"
is taken as "of a like quality." God DID create the Son in His own Thought,
and of a quality like to His own. There IS nothing else."

"Electing the ability to perceive", to me, implies that man has been, and
will be, celestial man with "will to know" rather than with imprisioned will
to perceive. The way there is through miracles, from level 2 low
(wrong-mindedness) through level 2 high (right-mindedness), or from the
world-how-ego-sees-it through the deepest point of crucifixion via the
Resurrection into the Real World, and from there onward to the complete
restoration oif the Sonship (The Father's Last Step). This all is also
described as the Last Judgment which is to be undertaken "solely by man".
For this, let us look at:

567. "The Last Judgment is generally thought of as a procedure undertaken by
God. Actually, it will be undertaken solely by man, with My help. It is a
Final Healing, rather than a meting out of punishment, however much man may
think punishment is deserved. Punishment as a concept is in total opposition
to Right-Mindedness. The aim of the Final Judgment is to RESTORE
Right-Mindedness TO man."

In Right-Mindedness, man does not identify with ego and pay the price of
FEAR, believing fear is happiness and Love destroys. Nevertheless, with
Right-Mindedness restored, man is "as God created", and fits the description
as "celestial man". Only by the miracle can this happen. That is why I see
forgiveness as instrumental, but the Miracle is the one important dynamic
that always provides the Love which is lacking in fear thoughts.

Thanks for the question. The above is a train of thought received in
response to my asking the Holy Spirit for better understanding.
