Karma has nothing to do with this as far as i know, earthquakes are not
caused by human karma but by nature.
Kind regards,

Karma is a mind matter and can not shake the earth.

Karma is a mind matter and can not shake the earth.
Further its time that China starts to clean up the big karma mess they
made :-)
Opinions differ on this. I think the Buddhist concept of individual
karma is instructive and easy to understand and helpful i.e. the
notion of individual intention, action and consequences. The popular
Western notion of Karma however seems to be mixed up with concepts
from Hinduism and new age thinking. 'Collective Karma' particularly
can, imo, seem fatalistic, or in this particular instance, like some
wrath of an old testament God. Thus I personally find the concept of
'Collective Karma' tending to the pernicious and at best unhelpful
(and I am not sure if its really a Buddhist notion of Karma at all).
In China, imo, there are individuals generating positive, negative and
neutral karma but the web of consequences is far too complex to call.
And strangely, small individual acts could have massive consequences
for example if China engineered an equitable settlement over Tibet the
positive effects could be profound (and yet the actions leading to
this may be of only a very few individuals).
