1. Event Objective:
Learn the path to awaken and transcendence; experience the freedom and
joy of monastic life.
2. Event Date: 30 January (Sat.) ~ 7 February (Sun.) 2010 (9 days
altogether)
3. Courses:
Self Awareness, Buddhist Chanting, Half-day Chan Retreat, Morality of
Eminent Monks, etc.

6. Application Requirements:
(a) Single male and female with high school education, physically and
mentally healthy, preferably with basic knowledge of Buddhism as well
as a keen interest in learning and experiencing the Buddhist Monastic
lifestyle.
(b) Age range: 18 – 40 years old (for male), 18 – 38 years old (for
female)
(c) Since the event is conducted in Chinese, a basic knowledge of
spoken Chinese would be advisable. English translation will be
provided if needed.
7. Vacancies: Limited vacancies. Please register early.
8. Fee: Free of charge. Donations are most welcomed.
9. Application Information:
(a) Date of Application: Now till 10 January 2010.
(b) Mode of Application: Apply On-line (for Chinese only) or download

and submit through email or by post. (Notice of acceptance shall be
notified through email.)
