Dear darlings...

Are we doing what we are commanded to do? the arts and crafts?
After Sacred singing of the Prayers for several years...we should
be well endowed with a new Way of Creating the Arts and Crafts...
Why, we may have even had sacred dreams of our Roots and gotten
a New Heaven and New Earth from Singing the Words of Our Lord!
God is Gracious! God is Gracious!
He has given us the New Capacity to Create Anew, our individual Cultures,
our Roots! For the long termed Future! Our Creations May be the
Inspired beautiful Reverberating with Love from the Abha Kingdom
of the 5th Epoch of the Bahai Dispensation...Make them Well
O People of Abha! Remember, that God Made Man in His Image as Creator,
and, the Act of creating is an act of Worship of God, the Merciful One...
Each Stroke of the Brush is a Prayerful Act of Faith...and Worship of God,
the Almighty...
Reach down into our Psych as Human Beings, and, express the Spirit
yearning for the Beloved!
God is Gracious! God is Gracious! God is Gracious!
Alla u Abha!

Dear Victoria,

I have heard that Baha'i music, especially, is kind of stuck in the
past, the 60's to be exact. I think a more deliberate effort should
be made to keep current, and not just 'preach to the converted' all
the time. For the most part I don't think it would be that difficult,
its just a matter of going out and doing it.

Best Regards,

Matt

Believe me, my dad has tried many times to work in the teachings of
the Baha'i Faith into his song's lyrics. The last time he tried this
was "We Are One", which quite nearly got him blacklisted from the
country music industry.

Certainly, it CAN be done. The real poser is figuring out how to do it
so that the general audience would be receptive to it. There aren't
that many record companies out there willing to put its marketing
strategy to work for a religious organization. To further complicate
matters, doing so would almost invariably require the approval and
involvement of the Baha'i Faith Administrative Order itself- and it
simply does not have the resources to "market" the teachings on the
kind of mass scale of, say, NSync. The effect, using the Faith's
current pool of resources, would be minimal at best and not
financially wise.

In the 60's there was a spiritual movement that is completely
different from the one we are witnessing now. In today's media-driven
market, the Baha'i Faith would have to compromise a lot of itself in
order to "get the word out." I believe doing so would be to the
Faith's detriment.

BUT!

That does not mean other forms of media aren't viable. There are books
and movies, which are far more flexible forms of mass media these
days.

Hi Matt

I'd have to say that there is actually no such thing as "Baha'i music." It
will be some time before there exists a culture birthed on the Baha'i
teachings that will in turn lead to the development of arts that can be
considered Baha'i.

If what is happening in my community is any indication, the music Baha'is
are producing is anything but 60's oriented, but it is also not a new,
unique art form either.

Hi Victoria

I agree that the arts are fertile ground for Baha'is to express their
spirituality.

If you are ever in the Los Angeles area, and attend any Baha'i gatherings, I
hope that I can meet you in person.

Dear Matt!
I entirely agree with you! I have all sorts of good ideas and am
'trying to get a group together....i want to write a don juan musical
broadway play opera that brings the masses in over the rainbow
bridge of the rainbow Warriors, the Bahai Indian Music that
is contempory and sings very much like rock jesus christ superstar
and hair...
my don juan music is really something and the play is about
kokopelli, rain man and Quetzalcoatl..and, the Shepherd's Daughter
and, how they meet in Great Spirit and fall in Love, through
the bounty of the Greater Glory, and their relationship with their
children, the young generation that is embarrissed about them
going around in beads and dancing with hoops,,,or
being a dreamtime medicine man with long hair..
Asking is my father nuts, scitzo, or a real Prophet that is going
to bring in the Masses, and, be raised by the United Nationas a Good Will
Ambassidor or what...
and, these Prophets they spend so much time helping the
native americans..as Buffullo men..
that, the sons get neglected..so a heart felt relationship
is danced,,,
that is meloncholy and joyous, walk of the dead
resurrection is very much the Theme..
it would be done in pop..rock..
so
I agree with you...
Alla u abha!

- I am near in Hollow Reed to the
Lesser Prophet Quetzalcoatl Padre or He is called
the Spanish Don Juan...He is the One that Loves
the Bahai Faith with endless Abandon!
I have often thought of the Heavenly concourse
and how they eat of the Heroes of the Bahai Faith...
It you are the One to have
Felicity and start a Bahai Community right there in
your Area of the Hamptons, perhaps having
Indian Sacred Dancers and Singers, Artists and Musicians...as your LSA
Members..If you do
I promise you...a Broadway Opera Show
that is a Best Seller Like unto the Phantom of the Opera...where it teaches
the Rainbow Bridge
of the Indian Warriors, to the Ark of Safety,
The Bahai Faith...it would be also like
Hair, and Jesus Christ Superstar!..
Sound Good?
your place is perfect..we could have a music room
up in the attic, as you call it..
ha...
Alla u Abha!
-----------------------the play on broadway would be fun todo
and write, also to have singles on m tv ...done for the young
set...like "hair" or jesus christ superstar...
the way it would help bring in the masses is
that the don juan path prepares us..this great spirit path
of indians..who are exalted and raised
by Bahaullah the Glory of God...
to be able to possess a Pure Radiant Heart...so that we
are able to recognize Him and approach Him..
this path of knowledge and Love of don Juan's
does exactly that..as a prep...to approaching the Bahai Faith..
in reality I feel most Bahais do go through their
first valley of search..looking for the Long Lost Joseph
ala don Juan..at least in America..
I do believe the Native Americans are the owners of the
land of the Turtle island,,being the King..they could
be used as the good will ambassidors of united nations..
since they are impartial and detached..from the usa..for
example..also they are indogenigious kings
and, the rest of the aboriginal minority kings
do identify with them quite nicely...
so i am looking for
a group of Bahais to do this with me..
i do know carlos castaneda and his twin prophet
brother..and they do dreamtime with me...
involuntarily..smile..it just is God..

SACRIFICE!

SUN WALK OF QUETZALCOATL AND HIS KINGS OF THE EARTH
TOWARD THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD....
WHERE THE SECRETS OF MARTYDOM OR THE MYSTERIES
OF SACRIFICE ARE REVEALED..

WHY, DO, TIME AFTER TIME..THROUGHOUT ALL HISTORY
THE MARTYRS OF EVERY RELIGION OF GREAT SPIRIT
SACRIFICE THEIR OWN LIVES, FOR THEIR PEOPLE,
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FOR THE LOVE OF IMMORTALITY?
FOR THE CHANCE TO SEE THE IMMORTAL BEAUTY...WE
WERE BORN TO SEE?

Otherwise, for the Don Juan Broadway
Play...you may well, design the set
and costumes for the spooky artsy
otherworld transcendental Christ in the Clouds
(Baha u llah, Glory of God),
in an lighting tech simplicity...
with haunting sacred music in a place,
not to be found, of the fathomless deep..
Where, even, Angels fear to tread...
In the Ancient Underground of All Religion's
ancient Roots, or Stone People, the Great
Spirit Prophets...
Where one Meets with the Devil of His People, the Banshees,
who are the Sirens to distract us from our true Goal our true
Way Home, the Devils being Money, Fame, and, Magical Power
or Prowess..meet the Cast of Ancient Devils that come alive
called Diableros, or Mockravens, that will eat your Heart out
at a Moments Notice...for a chance to rise in stature in the
errant western civilization...
that Don Juan saw of...the Evils of Mankind...demonstrated
through evil holy men's wives..children...the War of Good
and Evil that even Angels do die Heroically in...without
anyone knowing who they are...the Martyrs!

coming soon...at a place near your home..smile...

American Toltec and Maya Indian traditions predicted a "Savior from the
East" who was to inaugurate "a reign of peace" and "a new spiritual order"
in the "13th Toltec Era" (commenced in 1844 A.D.). Then a second promised
one - a "great Spiritual Being" was expected to appear in "the twelfth tun"
(between 1862 and 1863 A.D.). (Motlagh, Hushidar: I Shall Come Again, pages
357-357. Global Perspective: Mt. Pleasant, MI 1992.)
Ancient Hopi Indian prophecies mention two religions that would come to the
Americas. In hindsight, Hopis claim the first parallels Christianity. But
while it was supposed to usher in unity, the prophecies state that if it
fails, a second religion would come - and its followers would be known as
"Bahani" - the people of Baha! ("North American Indian Prophecies" - a talk
by Lee Brown; 1986 Continental Indigenous Council; Tanana Valley
Fairgrounds; Fairbanks, Alaska)

Ancient Navajo chants refer to a rising sun in the east, that will
inaugurate a New Day and a New Spirit. The chants refer to two signs of this
New Spirit that people should look for. One sign is that of a 9 pointed
star. Like Baha'is, the Navajos associate the number 9 with "unity" - since
all of the numbers are found in the number 9. A prominent Baha'i symbol is
exactly that, a nine pointed star ... and the numerical significance of
"Baha" is 9! A second sign is that there will be a great chief in the east
who will wear (symbolically) a headress of 12 feathers. They claim that the
12 feathers represent 12 spiritual teachings/principles. I also find it
interesting that the Herald of Baha'u'llah, the Bab, is recognized by
Baha'is as the 12th Imam of Islam. (Four Remarkable Indian Prophecies; Annie
Kahn, Olin Karch, Blu Mundy; @1963 Naturegraph Co. Healdsburg, CA)
