The masterfully crafted painting The Sea Shore by a renowned Soviet
artist Peter Ignatiev (1990) depicts a sunny day happy day in the
Black Sea resort area. With his love for sea, which is seen in so many
of his paintings, Igantiev was able very convincingly to demonstrate
the beauty of everyday nature.
The thoroughly written details of the sea -- dark-blue seawater, blue
sky and subdued sun are the distinctive features which some believe to
rival the brush of Aivazovski. The painting, completed as usual in
pastel blue, gray and white tones, creates the definitive feel of
holiday mood on the shores of Crimea (Ukraine).
The canvas painting is in good condition, measures 31"x23" and has a
frame 2 1/2" wide. Very good for lounge room or study room.
