Olmert: There's no such thing as 'Greater Israel' anymore
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1020929.html
People have been repeating what Olmert said in his final cabinet
meeting
that the dream of "Greater Israel" is no more, a delusion.
But there is a secondary message here. It is actually the primary
message.
Olmert has admitted that what Israelis wanted all along wasn't a
"partner for peace", it was a conquest.
Millions have shouted this for decades but the dishonest or deluded
zionist and pro-zionists have insisted that Israel DID want peace.
Zionists have all along wanted one thing: conquest -- Greater Israel.
Olmert has seen the light. Not the light that conquest, oppression,
war, murder and theft are wrong, but simply that they are not going to
achieve the dreamed of goal -- Greater Israel.
He still believes Israel was right in trying to carve out Greater
Israel from other people's land.
He has spoken blasphemy to many in Israel but also to so-called
christian fundis in the US that believe Greater Israel is part of the
prophecy that needs to be fulfilled to bring forth their version of
Jesus Christ. You know what is coming. Whatever befalls Olmert in the
future will be hailed by the christian right as G-d's punishment. That
is the secondary message.
