Despite Sense of Entitlement, US Companies Lose Iraq Oil Auctions

The Chinese may not be getting all the oil, but they’re getting some.
The spoils of war were something a lot of American oil companies
apparently took for granted, as they lost big in auctions for a
massive chunk of Iraq’s oil reserves.

Oil magnates who took the “blood for oil” mantra literally will have
to look elsewhere.
Webmaster's Commentary:

I'm sure that folks like T. Boone Pickens were assured, behind the
closed doors in the Bush/Cheney era, that they would get the rights to
most of the oil in Iraq.

That is the only factor which can account for the absolute, self-
aggrandizing arrogance of Pickens' statement that "...we're entitled
to it."

One has to wonder just how many of Picken's relatives were on the
ground during combat operations in Iraq. I would be willing to bet;
absolutely none.

But I want every family member of every US solder who fought, died, or
got maimed for life to understand just what the objective of this war
and occupation truly was; control over Iraq's oil.

This was about private companies profiting from the blood and money
spent on the invasion and occupation of Iraq to obtain its oil.

And now, it appears that is absolutely not going to happen.

Hey! You mean instead of slaughtering 1.5 million brown people,
torturing & terrorizing many times more,
and rendering even more homeless
by destroying their entire country...

we could have simply CUT DEALS???

Gosh golly, who would have guessed?

10 years ago when this mess began. Russia and china were hiring US oil
companies to drill for oil. Russia especially, so our oil companies
figured that would continue no doubt, americans being so capable and
brilliant etc.

it has not continued. the USSR has learned to drill and produce its
own oil... and china can purchase such expertise from them and
others. Hubris has never paid off long term it seems.

Pretzel's real grievance is that all that oil in Iraq isn't being used
to fund terrorist activities.

Didn't happen, despite this guy's assurances.

Or the fact that U.S. oil companies used to own the oil producing
facilities before it was nationalized.

Pretzel would rather have the oil controlled by Saddam Hussein who
used it to fund terrorist activities and military aggression.

He is sorry that terrorist organizations have been deprived of funds
from Iraqi oil.

> And now, it appears that is absolutely not going to happen.

He regrets that its use to fund terrorism isn't going to happen.

Didn't happen.

> we could have simply CUT DEALS???

Terrorist organizations weren't open to deals.

> Gosh golly, who would have guessed?

Not Pretzel.

There are no American Oil Companies. We have no oil companies.
They have eliminated American Companies. They are Globalist Business
doing there best to bust up America and other Countries so their
Globalist Owners rule. They wield power by controlling energy access and
price.

They both learned that Capitalism works and that Capitalism will drill
their oil for them, because the Russia and China governments weren't
smart enough to drill their own oil.
