Reform Party's Fred Newman

The Anti-defamation Leagues' web page includes information about
the Reform party and the role that former members of the New Alliance
Party play in it. These include Fred Newman and Lenora Fulani who,
according to the web page, have become major players in the party.

Although the older links of Fred Newman to Lyndon LaRouche are well
known, I've never seen anything about Newman's earlier activities.
I could be confusing him with some other Newman, but it is my
distinct recollection that I met someone named Newman in the mid
1960's who was involved in a "purge" of a group called Aesthetic
Realism over the issue of "contempt for Mr. Siegel". I never belonged
to Aesthetic Realism myself, but I knew someone who did at the time
and met this Newman (whoever he was) while with that person. Given the loony
nature of Aesthetic Realism and the intolerant mentality represented
by the Newman character I met, I've wondered for some time whether
he might be the same person. Actually, there were two of them, brothers,
who were involved in this purge.

Admittedly Newman is a very common name and there is no objective reason
to assume either of them is the same as Fred Newman. But I would still
like to settle the question, since it reflects not only on Fred Newman
but also on Aesthetic Realism, which so far has been absent from discussions
I've seen about lunatic groups.

So this is my question: was the infamous Fred Newman ever involved in the
group Aesthetic Realism?
