More than 154,000 donors contributed to Sen. Barack Obama's campaign
in the second quarter, his aides said.
The Obama campaign said the senator raised "at least" $31 million in
the second quarter in primary money, and a total -- counting $1.5
million in general election funds -- of $32.5 million.
The amount is believed to be the highest ever raised in a quarter by a
Democratic candidate, and exceeded what rival Sen. Hillary Clinton's
campaign predicted she would raise in the same period.
In an e-mail posted on the campaign Web site, Obama campaign manager
David Plouffe said the fundraising will allow Obama to compete fully
funded in all February 5, 2008, contests in states like California and
New York.
"Frankly, when we entered this race, we did not think that was
possible," Plouffe wrote. "We estimated at this point of the campaign
we'd be at least $20-25 million behind one of our fellow candidates."
Clinton's campaign has not yet released the amount of money raised for
the second quarter, which ended at midnight Saturday.

Watch your ass Hillary ... the new guy is *HOT* !
Looks as if the general disillusionment with Hillary is
beginning to have a tangible effect. Obamas' star is rising
fast while she's just sitting still. Looks as if she'll
have to switch modes - quit campaigning against the GOP
and start spitting poison at Obama.
Obama looks like Hendrix. I play guitar like Hendrix. Amongst other
things.
But in the first place.
Rick Hohensee
At noon on the day after this Amendment is ratified the occupants of
the offices of President and Vice President shall be removed, and
replaced for the remainder of the 2005-2009 term by Richard Allen
Hohensee, President, and Senator Russell Feingold, Vice President.
This replacement and term shall be supported by a special chain of
succession composed of random drawings from all those Senators and
Representatives who voted against the joint resolution allowing the
invasion of Iraq.
If Obama played guitar, he'd surely be the next prez :-)
So Barak, put on some shades, stick a lit ciggie in
your mouth, play dem blues and you'll WIN ! America
worships 'entertainers'. How else do you think Reagan
got in ?

I hope you're not offended if I'm skeptical about you being as
good as Hendrix was...
