Rice did not lose his sense of humor in the attack, as evidenced by this
exchange:
Cavuto: So what's weird about this, Bill, is a guy
who was advocating for the president's health-care
reform bit your freakin' finger off, and now you're
down a finger. What are you going to do?
Rice: Yes, sir. I guess I'll have to take different
piano lessons or something.
One might say Rice is lucky to have lost only a finger, when ObamaCare may
end up costing all of us an arm and a leg.
But there is a serious point to be made here too. Democratic leaders in
Congress--though not Obama himself--have resorted to increasingly extreme
rhetoric aimed at demonizing dissenters. According to Senate Majority
Leader Harry Reid, they are "evil-mongers." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has
described them as "carrying swastikas." She and Steny Hoyer, the House's
No. 2 Democrat, have called them "un-American." Most recently, Rep.
Charles Rangel, chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee,
has claimed ObamaCare critics are motivated by racism--a comment even New
York's WCBS-TV describes as "incendiary."
All of these comments are fully protected by the First Amendment, but
being legal doesn't make them right. When political leaders stigmatize
dissenters as racist, un-American, swastika-carrying evil-mongers, can we
be surprised if some deranged individuals turn to violence? Before opening
their mouths again, Pelosi, Reid & Co. should step back, count to 10, and
reflect on the plight of Bill Rice, who for the rest of his life will have
to stop at 9.

It's now time for healing, and for fixing the damage the Democrats did
to America.

True.

False. They said their actions were un-American.

There's a lot of truth there. Why do you thin there were people
carrying guns to the town hall meetings, especially President Obama's?
It certainly wasn't because they had anything to fear or defend
themselves from.

Tell that to Sarah Palin, et. al.

Like Rush Limbaugh has done to our President? You did see the bit
where he overlaid a WW II era Nazi logo over an Obama Administration
helath care reform logo, right?
>can we

Happens on both ends of the political spectrum. It's not right,
period.
Ask the family of the Kansas ob-gyn who was murdered at his church
this year allegedly by an anti-abortion zealot.

Please. Now you're implying they are responsible? They are no more
responsible than you or me.
This bullshit all started with the staged by the right protests at the
early town hall meetings. I can't remember the name, but United Health
Care has a wholly owned subsidiary whose sole purpose is to oppose
health care reform. They provided many of the buses used to transport
'protesters' to town hall meetings. Why did they need buses, you ask?
Because the 'protesters' did not live in the districts of the
representatives they were protesting against.
Tom
Your hero got into an argument with someone on the pro reform side.
The pro reform person called him an idiot, at which point your hero
started punching. In the ensuing brawl, your hero got the tip of his
pinky bitten off. Now, I'm not excusing biting off the guy's pinky,
but if he hadn't started throwing punches maybe this wouldn't have
happened. Self defense, and all that.

Wrong. The "death panel" clause in the bill was removed soon afterwards.

Wrong again. You must have missed that time the liberal media tried
to obscure the race of the black guy with a firearm while playing
Ye Old Race Carde. Taking a firearm to a protest was foolish, but it
certainly was not racist, in the real meaning of the word. Funny how
the left throw that term around when they lost the debate.

Apparently, you fantasize about swastikas like Nancy Pelosis does.

You mean the time he compared the two logos? Strange how similar they
looked, is it not? BTW, I don't recall ever hearing your outrage at
the Angry Left's past eight years of violating Goodwin's Law whenever
the topic of Bush came up....

If they can claim that about others, then so are they.

I do love when leftists accuse others of what they routinely practice,
but you're becoming tedisouly predictible,
Yes, by "deletion panels" no doubt. LOL!
