Well no John, it is everybody's problem - ie if the truth of the
matter needs to be known.
If you look at this video on youtube it explains how pet uguana's need
to have some artificial lights to help their body synthesise vitamin
d. The absence of enough vitamin D causes problems with their skeleton
structure. So IOW they need vitamin D to keep their bones healthy.
Doesn't matter how much calcium they have in their diets, they still
need vitamin D to make use of it.
So which is the active ingredient for bone health - vitamin D or
calcium?
You can say that vitamin D is all that is required, or that calcium is
all that is required. Yet BOTH are required and don't work without the
other.

No need to send me premature condolences.
Not only is calcium needed for bone health (along with vitamin D) but
also for neutralising acidic conditions.
