Governments have murdered hundreds of
millions of their citizens and those under their
control. The questions are, then, how is this democide
defined, is genocide included, how many have been
killed, how do we find this out, and what sources can
be used?

Nor rational process for our spacetime of 1999.
It may have been rational for the wild frontier of 1776
(or whenever the amendment was made); so I won't scold
the authors of the relevant document(s). They can only
work with knowledge of their own spacetime and immediacies
therein.
> it has to do with separation of power and the fact that the people are the
> seat...
Has nothing to do with the separation of power in post-World
War II thinking. That argument becomes obsolete the moment
the battle of winchesters is replaced by Uzi's and Kalshnikovs
versus tanks and bombs and megaton devices. No civilian militia,
however organized and/or armed to the teeth with automatic weapons
and home-made bombs...has even the slightest chance against the
incumbent forces of law and their vastly superior weapons
(qualitative and quantitative), if the forces of law ever
became hijacked by totalitarian interests. The only insurance
we have against such insurrection, is a properly established
(representative) democracy that works the way it was intended to
work, eg. through reason, not force. But if we lose at the table,
no amount of small thug weaponry (that you clowns in the NRA are
endorsing every civilian carry) will save the democracy.
But if the democracy is established, then the presence of such
small thug weaponry poses a security threat at the other end,
eg. a threat by the "people" against the "people"...more
specifically, by the small thug people against the larger group
of democratic people. And it is the democratic people that
are at the seat in a properly working democracy...not small thug
or big thug.
> your implication is that you don't either trust the constitution OR the
> people which disqualifies you as a proponent of constitutional
> government...or democracy.
Read above and reassess your equation of thug people with
democratic people; or the integration of thug people into
the democratic machinery. The equation is false; and the
integration, minimal.
> Governments historically have led the world in mass murder, and you trust
> them over the people...
Non-democratic governments are primarily responsible for mass
murder. Among the established democracies (which are recent
phenomena, btw); only the US has been involved in large-scale
politically-motivated mass murder, eg. Vietnam...and indirectly
involved in many others through CIA covert operations. Britain
and France and Belgium and a few other established democracies
also have indirect blood on their hands (eg. in their former
colonies)...but make no mistake about it, the vast majority
of mass murder is of the totalitarian, non-democratic type
(eg. communist and ethnic-nationalist and oligarchial rule).
[...]
Assuming the following numbers are true (with the understanding
they may not be....
Communist totalitarian.
> 5. 35,236,000 Murdered: The Communist Chinese Ant Hill
Communist totalitarian.
> 6. 20,946,000 Murdered: The Nazi Genocide State
Ethnonationalist totalitarianism.
> 7. 10,214,000 Murdered: The Depraved Nationalist Regime
What is this supposed to mean?
> III 19,178,000 VICTIMS: THE LESSER MEGA-MURDERERS
> 8. 5,964,000 Murdered: Japan's Savage Military
Imperialist monarchy.
> 9. 2,035,000 Murdered: The Khmer Rouge Hell State
Socialist totalitarianism.
> 10. 1,883,000 Murdered: Turkey's Genocidal Purges
Ethnic nationalism.
> 11. 1,670,000 Murdered: The Vietnamese War State
American ideological agenda.
> 12. 1,585,000 Murdered: Poland's Ethnic Cleansing
Ethnic nationalism.
> 13. 1,503,000 Murdered: The Pakistani Cutthroat State
Religious nationalism.
> 14. 1,072,000 Murdered: Tito's Slaughterhouse
Socialist totalitarianism.
> IV 4,145,000 VICTIMS: SUSPECTED MEGAMURDERERS
> 15. 1,663,000 Murdered? Orwellian North Korea
Socialist totalitarianism.
> 16. 1,417,000 Murdered? Barbarous Mexico
Oligarchial rule.
> 17. 1,066,000 Murdered? Feudal Russia
Monarchial rule (you/he fails to mention the other European
monarchies, can we wonder why?)
So...how many of the above occurred with the sanction of
established democracy? One. America. The one with
the 2nd amendment supposedly in place to prevent political
insurrection.... I guess you NRA clowns tolerate political
insurrection as long as the blood effects are felt thousands
of miles away. I mean, where were you when America was
drafting its youth to fight an ideological war outside the
borders of America? No, I don't blame you then. Fact is,
there's nothing you could have done about it with your
bee bee guns against the American military-corporate complex.
It was ultimately reason triumphing over force that preserved
American democracy...the reason of the anti-war movement over
the force of the thug mentalities in government (close siblings
of the thug mentalities in the larger population, to be sure).

Zooky learns a new phrase--"spacetime".....

> War II thinking. That argument becomes obsolete the moment
> the battle of winchesters is replaced by Uzi's and Kalshnikovs

Here, Zooky displays his vast knowledge of tanks, bombs, and
megaton devices. Never mind that *individuals* deploy all of the
above, and not just "could" but *would* be used by his demonized
"small thugs", just like his blessedly ordained "sanctioned thugs"...
> however organized and/or armed to the teeth with automatic weapons

Zooky spews the proper communtopic/Brett Kahill mantra--"you are
helpless against us--you will be assimilated".....
> no amount of small thug weaponry (that you clowns in the NRA are
> endorsing every civilian carry) will save the democracy.
You can only "vote", and do "democracy". But you aren't responsible
enough to have "small thug weaponry". No, no, only your name on
a slip of paper, or in a data-stream in the proper "spacetime"<cough>
is what Zooky is interested in. Yesirree--you "children" aren't
trustworthy--
until Zooky needs you to legitimize something for his communotopia....
> But if the democracy is established, then the presence of such

Holy Blessed Democacy! Zooky sings the litany beautifully--"we are
borg, and the Kollective is the All, praise Saint Brett, and his ATF,
and the shot-down ICBM's, and the future glory of the Kollective.."
> Read above and reassess your equation of thug people with
> democratic people; or the integration of thug people into
> the democratic machinery. The equation is false; and the

See, Zooky knows who all the "thug people" are, and has demonized
them, they threaten the Holy Kollective, and must be neutralized.
Then
their productivity will be harnessed, and added to the Kollective.
See
how smart he is?

Here, Zooky bites his own ass, posting refutations of his statement,
FOR US, and then mumbles something else, and wanders off into
a different tangent...

Finally---Zooky knows that the "thugs" are in the "larger population",
and wants all their votes counted *his* way, and discounted if they
are "bad". Zooky sees thugs *everywhere*, and is far superior to
them--
at least in his own private "spacetime"......

>>How many of those kids ...
> Cars kill far, far more kids than guns ...
And in Australia, for example, the ratio of deaths due to cars versus guns
is even greater! So what? Whats you point Sheila? ;)
Cars, are not designed solely to kill, whereas guns are pretty much
useless for anything other than killing. The majority of deaths caused
*with* the use of cars are 'accidents', as in those majority of cases the
driver did not sit behind the deadly weapon with the intent to kill, but
to drive for tranpsort. I reiterate, the majority, don't bring forth any
red herrings, or any other fishy cases. Guns on the other hand, are an
efficient pointable destructive weapon.
Cars alone are not a cause of auto theft, but without cars car theft
cannot exist. Therefore, cars are as essential to car theft as thieves are
essential for the survival of the multibillion dollar security/insurance
industry. Guess which set of thieves you give your hard earned money to
willingly. ;)

God your fucking clueless! Xona and Sheila are two different entities,
and cars are really inefficient for killing purposes as compared to guns.
With guns, you dont even have to drive the bullet/missile, can be fired
from a vantage point for snipers (unlike cars), and apparently in your
state of insanity, it can be pruchsed for far less money too.

Considering the last Olympic games, the fact that most gun deaths are
accidents caused by incompetant use, and having watched Mad Max, it could
just mean that us Aussies shoot a lot better than we drive! :)

How about the island of Newfoundland? With the
British and French both supplying their "loyal Indian
allies" with "modern" weapons, the band which had
inhabited the island was wiped off the face of the
earth. It's been a while since I took this in history,
so don't know which side's supporters (with help,
no doubt) did it.
