RICHMOND, Virginia (AP) � Republican Bob McDonnell has easily won the
Virginia governor's race just a year after the state went
overwhelmingly for President Obama and the Democrats.
Unofficial results show the former state attorney general defeating
Democrat Creigh Deeds and returning a Republican to the governor's
office for the first time in eight years.
Gee, are people already getting tired of Democrat bullshit?

Virginia historically has a governor that is of the opposite party as
the President. Leaving office is Tim Cain (D) and before him was Mark
Warner (D). Before that when Clinton was in the White House, George
Allen (R) and Jim Gilmore (R) were governors. When Bush and Reagan
were presidents they had Robb, Balies and Wilder, all Dems. Get the
picture? Go back further if you like. It's no surprise at all. This is
how Virginia votes.

How do you figure? I have not much more respect for what Republicans
have become. Twos sides of the same coin, those two. Granted I dislike
democrats marginally more than republicans, but that does not mean I
think the latter do anything substantively better than the former. What
we, the people of the United States, need is something completely
different. Toss them all out and try from a cleaner sheet.

I personally feel that Democrats are actually dangerous. Republicans are just
stupid. However my personal beliefs are much closer to the Republican
Platform if not actual Republican action.
Yeah lately Rs have been pretty lame being essentially D-lite. But until
something better comes along I'll take the right wing to block every time.

Baloney ! That only goes back to 1977, which is recent history, and is
no more than happenstance.
In 2009 it was a landslide defeat for the Democrat Party in
Virginia ...
GOP swept all 3 statehouse office elections (Gov., Lt. Gov., Atty.
Gen.) by 15 to 20 point margins, and increased its majority in the
100- seat House of Delegates from 53 seats to at least 58 seats.
Look for Tim Kaine to be fired from his job as head of the DNC ... for
losing this election in such massive defeat.
