I didn't realize that the NRA had successfully lobbied NYC to allow citizen
to carry handguns.
Here, all the time, I thought handguns were outlawed in NYC.
Thanks for getting me up to speed on the handgun laws in NYC.

You will find that the killer never got a shot off after he shot his
first victim. The police shot into the crowd shooting all the civilians.o
Remember, NY has strict gun laws. Guns are illegal there, so shootings
can't happen in NY.
Viva NRA.

Why? It's illegal to carry a firearm in NYC. Looks like some methods just
don't work.

That's the problem, having a massivly armed, idiot populace does not work.

If we were like Sweden and required IQ tests for firearm ownership, we

Irony since I was on Usenet long before you were and was one of the
people who voted on whether or not to open Usenet up to you uneducated
civilian, non-university idiots. Glad we did despite rightards like you. :)

However I also noticed that the rightarded loon couldn't address the
issue about NRA slaughters here in the U.S., nor the sharp contrast
with Sweden which has roughly the same number of firearms per capita
of the U.S. yet which has virtually no firearm-related murders.

Sweden is 83% atheist. Wotta coincidence.

Since you know nothing about me including my history, I can only accept that
you build a strawman from your own ignorance and then feel that somehow is

That wouldn't have helped in the Aurora, Colorado shooting several
weeks ago. The shooter there has a high IQ - he had been going for a
Ph.D. in neurolscience, and you can't be a dummy and study *that*.

We'd be better off developing some kind of reliable mental health
intervention. That would stop quite a few of these shootings.

Strawmen are easy to knock down with a bit of information.

Using the "Look, a bird" method of evading an answer is a bit harder to
defend.

An IQ test would probably not be of much use since killing with guns is
so easy.

If you do ever manage be sure and compare the infant mortality rate,

You might want to compare vacation time also.

Sort of, I know that killing an animal by any other means is very
hard.(Read Man Kind? by Clevland Amory.)

I know that the human body is extremely tough and that cutting somebody
takes a good bit of work unless your instruments are really sharp. I
assume that holds true for the living, all my cutting was in dead people.

" Ah, the trocar! Picture a hollow tube, about 18" long, sharp on one
end, with an entrance hole on the other end, and several smaller holes
on the sharp end. It may be used for suction or injection. The trocar is
first inserted (thrust) into the abdominal area at a point about 2"
above the naval and 2" to the left. As the instrument is worked back and
forth in the abdominal cavity it is aspirating as much of the contents
as possible. Fluids, stomach and abdominal contents, small intestinal
contents, large intestine gases and fecal matter, and minced tissue go
into the vacuum line and into the disposal system. "

Been there, done that.

I also know that firearms replaced most other weapons even when they
were new and had a very slow rate of fire.

It takes 10 years to develop a good longbow man and ten hours to
develop a shooter.

DARPANet daze though.

Funny how NONE of you rightarded Christians can address the issue
of Sweden's near-zero murder rate due to its overwhelming atheism,
isn't it?

Once a coward for Christ, always a coward for Christ.

Oh man, I miss the old days. HolySmoke was probably the best Echo
and Z80 was without a doubt the best CPU mankind ever made. Those
were the heady days of working with Bjarne Stroustrup to make a
serious OO language.

By brother was running AstroNet which was the #1 BBS in California
in terms of users and files, accumulating the old GodNet files
and being a source of information for television and newspaper
journalists looking for "hackers" they could interview.

Ah well. Meanwhile Sweden has an 83% atheist populace and near zero
murders.

Golly, I sense fear and hatred for some musterious reason. <smirk>

Wodda matter, rightard? Atheism a superior morality than yours?
Is that what's got you striking out in fear?

Then you got arrogant, through you knew everything and got busted on
IPv4 networks one day.

Left all the threads suddenly when you realized, libeled me,
never apologized, and we all lived happily ever after.

Prove that the NRA slaughtered all of those that you think they did.

Yep, and Christanic jihads have killed millions in just the past 30 years.

Welcome to religion.

So still no apology for you being wrong there. And still no idea how to
read a RFC.
