If all those fetus' hadn't been aborted there would have been 1.37
million unwanted babies born. Who would take care of this many EVERY
YEAR? Are the conservatives going to vote for increased taxes to pay

Back in about 87 when I was on air I went to the capital (Montgomery)
to do and interview with our local state Senator in his office. It was
the first day they were in session and if you've ever been at your
state capital on that day you know what a nut house it is. As I walked
in the door every group that had a bill up for vote crowds the hallway
trying to get at the senators and state reps as the come and go to
committee meetings. One such group was some anti choice group. They
are always easily spotted...all white women, impeccable dressed and
looking like they haven't got laid in years. They had a table set up
and were handing out pamphlets to anyone who walked by. As me and my
sound guy walked by they stopped us to find out who we are...looking
for some free radio time. I chatted for a few just for background
material and they said their aim was to get every abortion stopped and
the babies adopted. Not a bad idea as far as I'm concerned but I knew
the adoption rate around the US was terrible and worse in Alabama. So
I asked her how many she had adopted? None. Why? She's to busy doing
this! Aha! Let's try her friends...NOT ONE HAD ADOPTED A BABY! The
can't walk the walk. Ask ANY anti choicer how many they've adopted and
then watch the look on their face when the realize YOU know they are
sanctimonious bullshit artists.
I asked them to make some comments for on air and their "boss" told
them not to talk to me. She knew I had them nailed. It made for some
lively talk the next few days.

I have a cousin who has adopted two kids. He is the ONLY one I know
that walks the walk. You're right about the rest of them... they only
care that the mother is forced to carry their fetus to term. Nobody
gives a real shit what happens to them later.
Personally, I'd rather sink a little bit of my tax dollar into providing
abortions on demand to spending much more later raising unwanted children.
