There are two variants of the "Obama isn't a citizen" argument. The more
reasonable, believe it or not, claims that he was born in Kenya (or at least
outside the U.S.) and phonied up a Hawaii birth certificate. This one has
been fueled somewhat by Obama's reticence on the subject and a supposedly
invalid birth certificate shown on his web site (it may well be legitimate
but still invalid -- virtually all original unembossed birth certificates
are now, technically, invalid). Apart from that, evidence is lacking.
The other, goofier, argument revolves around his mother's age at the time of
his birth and the length of time she'd been resident in the U.S. This one
suffers from the slight flaw that one has to completely disregard the fact
that Hawaii was a state in 1961.
