I realize that being conservative is necessarily Republican but here is
an interesting poll when asked to describe themselves politically in a
Gallup poll:
40% described themselves as conservative (UP from 38% last year)
9% described themselves as "very" conservative
35% considered themselves as moderate
21% described themselves as liberal
5% decribed themselves as "very" liberal.
