Russia has deployed an advanced new missile system to its base in
Armenia, APA reports quoting Eurosianet.org. The Iskander-M will be
stationed at Russia's base in Gyumri.
“It's impossible not to see the deployment in the light of the recent
chill in Azerbaijan-Russia relations, including the apparent
cancellation of fighter aircraft deliveries,” writes the website.
Armenian Defense Ministry refuted the reports. Spokesman for Armenia's
Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisian told news.am that Armed Forces
of the country don’t have "Iskander-M" missiles.
