The Philosophy Club of Northeastern Illinois University will host
a panel discussion on Post-Modernism will be held at Northeastern
Illinois University in Chicago on two successive Mondays, Monday
April 7th and Monday April 14th. The program will be
interdisciplinary.

On Monday, April 7th the subject will be into the history and
origins of post-modernism, it's roots and historical perspective
in Art, Philosophy and Literary Criticism, as well as
distinguishing Post-Modernism from other "isms" such as
Modernism. Where did it come from, how does it differ and how is
it similar to prior philosophies?

On Monday, April 14th the subject will be the application of
post-modernism. This will include such disciplines as social
theory, art, writing and communication, criminal justice,
psychology, linguistics, education, as well as philosophy. This
will be followed by a round table discussion.

This panel discussion is intended for anyone interested in
post-modernism, and is particularly well suited for anyone who
wants to know what post-modernism is, where it came from, and
what's it good for. If you are unfamiliar with post-modern
thought, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about this.
The intent is that the program will be somewhat informal and
conversational, with a question-and-answer period after each
session.

Shortly before the panel discussion dates, a second announcement
will be made listing the speakers and their particular areas of
expertise. Look for this announcement shortly after April 1st.

Northeastern Illinois University is located in Chicago, Illinois
on the Northwest side. It's on Bryn Mawr Avenue (5600 North) and
Central Park Avenue (3600 West). Both panels will be held in the
"Commuter Center" building, in the middle of the campus. There
is plenty of parking. The discussions will begin at 7:00 PM
Central Daylight Savings Time. The mailing address for
Northeastern is 5500 North St. Louis Avenue.
