The Pensacola creationist minister convicted in 2006 of myriad tax-fraud charges has been ordered to pay more than $3.3 million in taxes and penalties, according to court documents filed May 15.
Kent Hovind, 60, is currently in the Federal Correctional Institution in Berlin, N.H., serving a 10-year prison sentence for failing to collect and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in employee-related taxes, obstructing tax laws and structuring transactions to avoid financial reporting laws.
