Some processes that are too slow to sit and watch happen. Tectonic
plate movements result in continental drift and mountain chain
formation. Galaxy formation, Universal heat death are also ongoing.
None of these things can be seen by casual direct observation.

They were totally blind to ID, in their method of research.

What experiment would you describe as one designed to try to include
