My one-hour documentary, “In God We Teach” has just been posted online
for viewing by all. The film tells the story of a high school student
who secretly recorded his history teacher in class and accused him of
proselytizing for Jesus. The teacher, in danger of losing his job
strenuously denied it. The specifics of this controversy speak
directly to the church & state issues that are being heatedly argued
this election year. With Stephen Colbert, Alan Dershowitz, Neil
deGrasse Tyson and others.

Please feel free to stream, download, share, embed and link to the
film for non-commercial use.

It is only by sheer happenstance that the Greek, Roman, and Egyptian
religions died out.

Can you imagine football teams with Ra as their mascot?

This is interesting, but not news. I was born in 1949, and grew up a
christian fundamentalist. I used to hear sermons preached in church
about how they (meaning the christian fundamentalists) needed to take
over every classroom in the U.S., every school board too, on their way
to taking over the U.S. Government. They're called "Dominionists."
They've been working toward this end for several decades now.

How quaint. And what does this have anything to do with the documentary?
This is a real issue, with real people involved and all you have to
spout is this nonsense?

Bes, I would have thought. Nike of course for the Greek Pantheon, but
the deity closest to team games and football in particular would be
Hun-Hunahpu

And fortunately losing ground every decade. People are no longer
afread to speak out and even laugh at them in public forums and
meetings.

How quaint. And why did you think I should not have responded to the
question about a football team with Ra as a mascot?

No, don't be silly. Religious fundamentalists are trying to Paganize
and Sodomize the government, duh. But it's comforting to know that
you found this lone teacher smuggling Christianity into the
classroom. He's a clear and present threat to the campaign to
paganize and sodomize the world, and even token resistance must be
ruthlessly suppressed.

Holy Cow, he isn't just a teacher that happens to be religious, he is
a fervent, propagandizing creationist with all the "I never saw an
explosion create order" crap.

Help! Someone call David "Darwin/Hitler" Klinghoffer. Bring Ben "Expelled" Stein out of his self-imposed exile by promising to stop asking him to respond to this:

And get Michael "Bigfoot" Medved to adverise it on his radio show! ;-)

Hmmm... For the university team of Ediacara only Hun-Chowen and Hun-Batz
would come into question.

Just in case anyone is under the delusion that i knew that off-hand, the
pun is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howler_Monkey_Gods
