I just finished Carl Zimmer's new book on evolution called "The
Tangled Bank".
I highly reccommend this, for anybody who would like an introductory
overview of
evolution, including discussions of recent observational an
experimental methdologies
and results.

The book is accessible to a large range of readers.

It's a book written by experts in the field. You claim to respect
experts, and claim, to accept evolution.

Were you lying when you made those claims?

How many books do you need on evolution?

there are hundreds and hundreds and all of them say something
different!

Books need to stay up to date; new fossils are found all the time.
For example, the fossil of the dino eating the caveman. See the
recent t.o thread on this topic.

Actually none.

There are 100s, maybe 1000s, of books that try to promote an alternate
"theory," yet they all ramble in incessantly about *evolution*. Now
why would they have to resort to that if their mutually contradictory
alternate "theories" had any promise? I have read many chemistry
books, and not one, let alone all of them, support their arguments
solely on weaknesses of phlogiston theory.

How do you know? It's perfectly clear that you haven't read any of
them.

If you actually want to *learn* something about evolution, I'd be very
happy to post a list of recommendations. After all, I am one of those
experts you claim to respect (though I doubt that anyone believes that
claim).

So, do you want to learn about evolutionary theory or do you prefer to
wallow in ignorance?

Your response will be very revealing.

Yes, how about your stupidity?

Madman (aka Mudbrain) is on record as claiming:-

Science causes disease.

That 3.5% actually means 25%...

That the actor Paul Newman was a creationist...

That "Dr." Kent Hovind has made lots of *scientific* discoveries...

That wars have been fought because some scientific finding discredited
some facet of some religion...

To have a "higher education" than most posters to this news group...

To understand how geologists determine the age of any given sample of
rock...

That trilobites were Cambrian mammals... [that one still makes me
laugh]

And that he has "created genes" and not evolved ape genes...

That linguists have traced all the world's languages to the Middle
East region and back to around the same time as the bible claims Noah
and his sons rebuilt mankind.

Claimed that talk.origin's moderator was a troll.

Claimed cigarettes do not cause cancer.

The [Dropa] stone is real, the troglodytes exist, the graves are
there, many books have been written on the subject...

Now, I ask you, is this the sort of guy you would give an credence to?
Certainly I don't.

Well outright lying is more than a being a simple loon. You will
remain a loon but it appears evident that you will lie to save face
and pretend just like YOO that you have done nothing wrong.

The lying and lunacy is shown in your lack of judgement in citing an
anti peer review blog post as if it had relevance for science. You
are either lying to your self or implicitly lying about having the
knowledge of science and evolution to post as much ASSinine crap as
you do. This lunacy has you compulsively posting silly ideas that of
course must be corrected by knowledgeable responses. These responses
are of course the only substance in any of your 30000 + posting
history. So outright lying and lying to yourself are par for the
course in your compulsive anti-evolution activism.

To quote "how about THAT."
