whole 'research center' at liberty university dedicated to 'pre trib'
mythology, treating it like it's real:

There is no shortage of these nuts. Check out

http://raptureme.com/

and look at the "rapture index" - kind of a Dow Jones for the end of
the world.

He is smarter than some of our posters here, however. At least he's
figured out that Ron Wyatt was a phony who was just in it for the
money.

Definatly smarter then wf3h. Maybe smarter then you too.

It would seem real science would want to consider all perspectives and
opinions on an issue.

Except the evolutionist of course.

70 AD in Jerusalem? I've made the same claim.

I think it is pretty clear that the events of 70 AD are what the whole
tribulations thing was about - I mean, it was the end of Life As We
Know It for Judaism, indeed, the end of the world for priestly worship
of YHWH (and the forcible breaking of the covenant, come to think of
it). Too, the timing fits with the wording of the prophecies of
Jesus; the only problem is the bad guys won. I suspect the Book of
Revelations was written to deal with that unfortunate fact.

Many other intelligent people have, too. :-) Martin Gardner wrote
an entire book on the subject, which I have around here. Jesus was
supposed to "return" to Earth just after the Tribulation and
avenge the martyrs at the same time, or just after, Nero was
supposed to return from the east after recovering from a head
wound. Nero stayed dead and so did Jesus, so modern Christians
claim we are "under dispensation" because Christians are martyring
non-Christians, not the other way around. Jesus will come once the
Tribulation against Christians starts up again.... which means
Nero will have to be resurrected first.
