Capitalism will naturally result in a sort of one-world
government. Capitalism is trans-national -- capital
does not have nationality -- and transnational
capitalists need a system to mediate and enforce
relations between themselves and to keep various
anti-capitalist forces at bay. Maintenance of the
environment is just one of the issues which trans-
national capitalists must solve. There's no use
being rich if you can't be rich in a nice, clean
environment. The big question is not whether
there is going to be a one-world government
but what kind of one-world government it will
be. The U.S. ruling class would prefer a one
world government administered by themselves,
but this doesn't seem to have worked out very
well financially. Mr. O is pursuing it to the
bitter end, but the bitter end may not be that
far off.
