paying lip servicemost things are done to create jobs, Old wealth
mandates old policies. There is no one to pay off for cleaner
retooling of cars or updating our armed forces for real threats so
stay with old policies especially if it creates wealth and jobs for
whoever is there to fill those needs like defense contractors (not for
updated better forces but to fight people witout any uniforms or real
threats to the US for now).. Meanwhile oil and coal interests pay off
handsomely. News media doesn't even care squat to ask about these
issues and the politicians know it so they get away with following
flawed polices. There are giant loopholes in the market especially for
hedge funds and derivatives which almost assures certain loss for most
investors. These need to be fixed but how do you fix someone when the
people in control make the rules to begin with?
As long as there is no election reform and as long as the news media
is in bed with corporate interests the said policies will continue.
Politicians don't care squat about tearing down this country as long
as their special interests continue. Almost everything bad from dirty
energy to crime to stock market manipulation is the same as it always
has been. In five years tvs have changed dramatically , but everything
else remains the same in the US. As long as citizens voices don't get
heard, you could guarantee the paid millionaires or paid off
politicans don't worry about what you worry about. If I were everyone
I would give the media a finger instead of waving into the camera
everytime you see action news van. People have to start complaining
enmass about the lack of objectivity in the biggest media stations.
Also give it to the politicians like Casey and REndell and Specter who
could have done more against dirty energy and the Republicans who
stopped progress to begin with.Its not Republican or democrat issue
its whose wealth is being threatened. Yell at our politicians for not
doing what is right, make sure they hear ya and the same for our fking
news media. Now back to the weather and the mummers parade.(all day
and night now)
