Firefly what you do to me.

You are my Tanzanian soul, My remedy, My Devil, My Big League Chew My
Spearmint, My Anus, My Hangman's Noose. If I speak of thee, I will
surely meet my doom.

You keep me warm all day.

Swirling in a galaxy
wind in the wind
turning spinning harmony
twining begin

Whirling reeling hurricane
twisting the earth
ringing wheels of window pain
mystery birth

Twirling in a seashell's dream
sung in the sea
churning in a loop slipstream
loving to be

Curling in a flower's eye
cry on a flame
yearning burning firefly
die as you came

love,
Elsie

I already know where the river of death is.
Finish the book, please.

In "Hell and Highwater" two passengers on a train recognise the river of death as the train they're travelling on crosses it.

What if the river was not there anymore. Would the riverbed still be
called the river's name?

Why should it? My bed isn't called by my name when I'm not in it.

I can work with this. Say that you get to be a tiny clump in the
riverbank and will become a handsome prince when the people stop calling
the riverbed by the river's name. You can start with the river in one
of three instantiations:

1. Strong flowing river, seismic shift gives 25% chance of river
shifting and changing beds.

2. River of mist near a place where lava drops out of the sky.

3. The ground is still et, yet the river is gone.
