WHen I wasnt a follower of Christ, I used to partake in the common
retort 'Well, I made it thru another year' ; I suspect alot of
people will be celebrating that phrase and getting intoxicated to the
max. thereby putting themselves and others in grave danger as they
drive ... or perhaps get involved in a physical altercation at a Bar
or Party . I spent so many New Years Day recovering from the night
before and trying to convince myself that i had a good time. Im so
glad to report that today and New Years Day will be one of sincere
reflection, gratefulness , anticipation of the new year, and
contemplation of being a little closer to spending eternity with the
Creator of the Universe for all of eternity....where time never ends
and there is no 'new year' . Lets pray :

Our Father in Heaven, it is my pure joy to say I know you personally
and you know me personally ; I thank you for the year past whereby
you enriched my life and i look forward to a new year where you can
be
glorified and honored. Thank you for making yourself readily known
by
the creation around us and in us, so that no person is without
excuse
should they decide to not acknowledge you and try to get to know you
better. I pray this coming year will be a year of change to those
who
all their life never really bothered to give you much thought and
instead was caught up in personal agendas void of your precense.
Bless your wonderful name as I look forward to every knee finally
bowing to you declaring that you are Creator, King, and Lord . In
thy name, Amen and Amen.

This year can be truly different and wonderful if you choose to let
it
be so by acknowledging the Creator who deserves your humility
