Christmas is a minor religious holiday that was co-opted by the
American retail industry in the late-19th century. As with all other
American holidays, celebration of Christmas requires the purchase of
various consumer products. Consumption of mass-market goods is so
important to the celebration of the holiday that roughly half of
America's economy has become dependent on this single day of year.
Starting in about July we begin to hear projected Christmas sales, and
the day after Thanksgiving millions of sheeple descend upon Wal-Mart
and stampede like cattle. And on January 2, we are reminded that
there are only 355 shopping days till next Christmas.
Take away the mass-market consumer cult and you are left with a minor
holy day of a religion many Americans do not believe in. And it
always was a minor Christian holy day, since unlike his death, the
date of Jesus' birth is unknown. Easter has always been
Christianity's most important holiday, which has also been co-opted by
the retail industry to sell candy and stuffed bunny toys.

I'm giving my girlfriend several, brightly wrapped, empty boxes - to
remember the fact that an ancient fairy tale means nothing - and has
absolutely NO supportive evidence.
We're not going to midnight mass ---- we're just going to have one hell of a
good time, screwing, to remind us of the many times, and many ways, in which
all religions, and this particular religion, have screwed the people of the
world.
Same thing kristmas morning .......... were going to get up early, and fuck
and screw each other in remembrance of the fact that religions, and this
religion, are STILL fucking and screwing today's world population.
Then, in the quiet of the evening of this special day - we'll write a thank
