Dear Friends,

 

Please forgive this intrusion into the middle of your day, but we have an urgent need for the ministry.  As you may or may not know, at least 90% of our ministry work is done on line.  As such, our connection to the world through our laptops is essential.  Yesterday, J.R.’s laptop died… and repairs would be so costly, it’s not worth the expense.  At the same time, my laptop is acting really strange… doing some things that just “aren’t right”.  So I guess it needs to be replaced, too, before it takes its own “dive” into oblivion.

 

We have a man who works on our laptops who is very good at what he does… and very reasonable on his fees when he works for us.  He has located several laptops in Nashville which are actually more powerful, bigger monitors, more memory, etc. than the ones we have, and each runs around $200.  He has offered to donate his time if we will reimburse him for his gasoline, and go to Nashville, check out these laptops and purchase what we need (2 of them).

 

Our problem is, we’ve used up our “reserve” over the past few months in order to keep ministry work going, so we need $450 to $500 in order to purchase two laptops and pay for David’s gasoline. 

 

As the subject line says, this is an “urgent” need, because we’re not at all sure how long my laptop is going to keep going… If you can help with this need right away, we will be very, very grateful.  As always, U.S. donations are tax deductible since we’re a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation (Dogwood Ministries, Inc. – www.dogwoodministries.org ).  Donations from anywhere can be made through PayPal (www.paypal.com ) which will convert foreign funds to U.S. dollars instantly.
