Chris, my name is Angela. I teach 6th grade Social Studies. How do
you suggest that I convey this material to my students and still hold
true to the story without watering it down?

Angela, I missed your post on the Google page but it showed up on my email.

Sixth graders? I'm sure you know that audience better than I do. Maybe the
PBS documentary would be a good way to introduce them to the case. The film
has some language and content that may not be right for this group, so I'd
advise previewing it first to determine its suitability. It may be that you
could use excerpts from it. I'm sure some 6th graders could read either one
of my books, but for other kids that age, the books might miss the mark.
Perhaps the best approach would be to combine clips from the video/DVD with
a teacher-prepared presentation that's designed for that particular
audience.
