Hi all,

For those of you that can't make it to the Tagtool Think Tank -
http://www.tagtool.org/wp/2009/03/18/tagtool-think-tank-09/

Basically there will be some brainstorming sessions for the next
generation Tagtool software - and it would be great to have your ideas
present.

So please send us your comments, wishes, dreams.

They will be printed out and put up in the Think Tank Venue, so your
voice can be heard during the discussions.

Some cornerstones of the vision so far:

- Cross Platform
- simple to use, like a console game - but highly adaptable for
professional performers
- More complex animation capabilities (loops & hierarchies)
- Flexible brush engine for a more organic look
- Multiplayer - drawing and animation
- More input device options - multitouch, cameras, etc...
- Recording and playback of scenes
...

This is brainstorm time, so no restraint!

This thread is for the artists/users - Pi will open a parallel thread
for software developers to discuss the technical side of things - what
frameworks to use, ideas for the software architecture, etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Maki & the OMA crew

1. would be great to build groups of tags to move and animate more
tags at the same time,
2. or the possibility to draw a path on which the tags should move
would be great.. (for example if you draw a invisible closed circle
the selected Tag will should move around this circle until you stop
the animation)
3. it would also great to interact with the tags in with the help of
Camera Tracking or something like that..

Dear Santa Claus,

My wishlist for "Zeichenspiel":

) Collision detection between drawn objects - to create a Jump n Run
Atmosphere. I want to pick u things with a character and carry them
over the screen.

) Gravity Controll - to have smooth pan to the left while you can jump
on drawn objects. Super Mario Style.

) Dynamic pivots - A rotor of a helicopter needs another pivot than
the lower jaw of a crocodile.

more to come,
let me guess

We could figure out some "Modes", which allow to game with. Scores,
missions, Vs-Player, and more, all about drawing and animation. At
least one Mode should be part of Zeichenspiel from the beginning, like
fracking minesweeper.

The recorder and playback function should be very easy to handle but
still have some extra-functionality. E.g. It should be fun to cut out
good scenes, speed them up, add sound and directly upload them on
internet.

From the beginning there should be an online portal/data bank to
upload pictures/animations of Zeichenspiel.

There should be the possibility to connect one monitor, if e.g. it is
useful for a gig to see the selected tag.

What about a brush-editor?
