I have another beta for testing. If there aren't any bad crashing
problems, I want to release this as the final version of 1.1, with a
1.1.1 release to quickly follow that will take care of any other more
minor things. If you're reading this, please test beta 14 and let me
know if the stability is good enough for daily use.
*IF* you are having persistent crashing problems (but ONLY if you've
tested beta 14 and are having crashing problems), please download and
use this version instead: http://files.thelittleappfactory.com/tagalicious/Tagalicious-1.1b14-m... . When you submit crash reports using this version, please type in
"using modified beta 14" somewhere into the crash report comments.
Things changed:
• resetting tracks works correctly
• artist/album/genre/year/artwork for purchased tracks will now
correctly show in the details pane after updating the tags in iTunes
• sending tags to iTunes should now be more reliable if you update a
bunch of songs all at once
This is ready for a release. Works on my machine. There have been some huge stability improvements since 1.0 and the result is great. That being said I have also been using the competition, TuneUp which is also stable. In comparison I find TuneUp to be less RAM and CPU intensive with some additional functionality. I'm not sure if you want to keep Tagalicious elegant in design or if you are thinking about adopting additional functionality. If you want a "keep it simple" approach I suggest you think about making Tagalicious have a smaller footprint. Just something to think about for another release.

I'll agree with Justin, in that this version is a lot more usable. I still saw it hang a few times, but it actually works now. Let us play with it a little while longer before releasing, though!
I was trying to fix some of the tags for songs that got "msng" randomly stuck in the song metadata, and I am finding that I am going to have to manually fix tags in a lot of cases here. That's because if Tagalicious can't find new tags for the song, I can't just choose to remove existing metadata altogether (or at least have the option to change it myself manually from within the app).

And just after I sent that message I discovered another bug. Once I click on something in the sidebar and I search for something, I can't seem to switch to another source in the sidebar until I restart the program.

Can you send feedback (via the Help menu) and make sure to check the
Application Log box. (Put your name or email in the comments so I can
identify you). One other person said they had this problem.
Also, regarding removing the "msng" tags, we thought it was important
to not allow users to erase existing tags because we don't want that
happening on a massive scale. "msng" tags were supposed to be blank,
though, so you should be able to search for those directly in iTunes
and batch delete them.
