Whenever I press the button to save a page, it doesn't do anything.
The tab to view your bookmarks works, but since I can't save any
pages, it's useless.

Would Tabmix my theme, urethane light, have anything to do with it?

The first and most likely culprit is that you are using TabMix Plus's
built-in session manager. You need to disable that in order to use
Taboo -- Taboo uses Firefox's Session Manager code (which has all the
same functionality as TabMix Plus's, last I checked), but TabMix
Plus's disables Firefox's.

Perhaps we should check if the session saver is disabled and ask if
the user wants to re-enable?

Perhaps it could be imho more useful to use TabMix Plus's session
manager, too? Nearly everyony I know is using TabMix Plus.

But indeed, there should be a message box or something similar that
Taboo relies on the Firefox built-in session manager.
