Problems with middle click

Dear developers:

Thanks for this excellent extension. I helps me a lot.
However middle-click actually doesn't work for me at all. I thought
it was a missing feature. Then I was reading this thread below, and
finding out that middle-click SHOULD open the pages to new tabs.

The situation is that middle-click doesn't work for me when I click
the items within the Taboo button. It also doesn't work with with the
Taboo page. (The page opened after I left-click the Taboo button.
Sorry for not knowing it's name.) However, control+left-click works
perfectly.

I tested with a clean profile in Windows Vista 32bit and Mozilla/
5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; zh-TW; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080420
Firefox/2.0.0.14 (pigfoot)

I believe this problem is made from using an href attribute inside of
a span element. For some reason the middle click only wants to open a
new tab when it is interacting with an '<a href='. It doesn't like
span tags.

It doesn't take effect, either when I middle-click the taboo items.
