Subject: Feature Requests after Cork

Hi
I am just putting the bug/feature requests that were reported/requested by
Bob Nimmo and Ciaran

MUST HAVE
==========
1. The editable judge allocation parameters didn't work

2. Proper inputting of names, non-letter characters etc.

GOOD TO HAVE
=============
3. Can Team Position (1G, 1O, etc.) be included on the "Venue by Team" sheet
from the print page.

4. Can the "Venue by Judge" sheet from the print page and the new "Venue by
Team" sheet described at 1 be combined into a more compact sheet, perhaps
featuring two columns, to be called a "floor manager sheet".

5. A display should be accessible that clearly indicates which ballots have
not yet been entered, including the venue name and location, chair judge in
the room, and the average points of the teams in that room.

6.  On the judge input "start-page", can the judges be sorted by rank.

7. Can the Manual Draw page appear in order of average team points for the
room.

8. When finalised, can the draw display be in keeping with the order in
which the ballots are printed.

Just to co-ordinate the efforts, I am currently resolving

* No 1. I will test the case on the Linux machine and see if it works
correctly
* No. 2 I think it is somethign do with the creation of the MySQL database
and using UTF-8 as the charset. I have some experience with this. Will come
up with a permanent solution after testing
* No. 3. Seems fairly straightforward.

Klaas, you can pick any of the rest you like. I will, in the meanwhile fix
1,2 and 3 and report progress on this thread.

Deepak

Hi,

Ok,
I'll send out a mail before I start any particular feature.

This is done. The form tag was not closed, which was causing problems in IE
6, and also in FF sometimes.

2. Proper inputting of names, non-letter characters etc.

I tested in the Windows All in One version, and also with my Linux
installation, and it seemed to be fine. I was able to input non
english characters. I think
the problem could be the Regional settings on the computer being used. Can't
say for sure.

But in any case as long as the DB is created to support Unicode, it should
work fine.

This is done now.

Will pick up some more issues if possible by tomorrow.
