Hi,
as for the relevant importance and load for a specific unit, that is
up to the department, the board and the lecturers. As for which is
more important, that is up to the board and the department.
In terms of an APT, it would require more work for someone who has not
done any systems programming. Remember that if you had to build a game

Ha nghidlek tkissirna pero this is most certainly the coolest subject
I've had so far. Making a game server... it's something I always
wanted to do. I don't know if we will ever apply such things in our
everyday work, but then again, most of the things that interest me
hold no future in Malta...

Well,
this might be your last systems programming course you might ever
do. Who knows what APT will be on offer. In fact this year, there was
no sys related APT. As for athena access, I think you will have access
to your accounts as long as your university account remains valid.
Mine is still the same since the time I was a student !

u le all in all nahseb it was a good run ta these 3 assignments,
obviously would have enjoyed doing them more if we had more time
availabe.... i really think systems programming should have more than
4 credits imma nsomma...

Considering that I have come across folders on athena belonging to friends
of mine who graduated back in 2000.... something makes me think that the
only way our accounts will ever really vanish from there is if some proxxmu
decides to donate a new sparc to the board of i.t., whilst poseidon is a
pretty top-notch system, so it will probably be around for eons.

It's Athena's fault sir, I can assure you. In our case it complained
about an unexpected end of line, and the makefile had no problems with
it. It compiled without problems on Poseidon, and I opened the
makefile and checked that there were no issues such as spaces for
tabs, etc. Hu pacenzja and compile with gmake.

ummm peress li qed nhossni nieqes minn practice fuq systems
programming hmmmmm... would poseidon & athena be available for us to
work on this summer and next year? ^0^
or else some1 will be scrapping our accounts there after this
semester? u le apparti c-cajt... nahseb some of us (including me)
wouldn't bother getting my hands dirty again on systems programming
