Does any one have any idea about this language named as 'modelica' How different is it from SysML?

It looks like an engineering/physics/maths level modelling capability. Jsut seen that Maple is linking to it. [I use MathCAD...]

Interesting that modelica is open source.

Modelica is an Object-Oriented language for simulation, SysML is an Object-Oriented language for design systems (from MBSE point of view). However many work has been done to integrate languages.
My personal advice is that a coexistence of languages is still premature.

OMG has a working group to study the synergies between SysML and Modelica. If you want to know a bit more about this, you can check out the pages on SysML and Modelica Integration at http://www.omgwiki.org/OMGSysML/doku.php?id=sysml-modelica:sysml_and_modelica_integration.
