Many thanks for getting back to me on this.

I would like to look at Artisan, but the Uno edition doesn't support import
of models, and I didn't get very far with a conversation with the support
people at Artisan about what version I would need to support that.

I also couldn't get any support from Artisan on some simple features like

Ah, a much harder question. What you see is support for shallow structure
(redefinition at a shallow level), with the exception of connectors (by
drawing a connector between two ports on parts in a block you are,
*conceptually*, changing the port in the context of the block, albeit in a
limited way).

Apologies, I should have mentioned that the attached Word document contains
the images of the models and containment tree that I am discussing, so you
don't actually need to open the model.

The anomaly, if there is one, is that the model elements in question appear
in different places in the containment tree.

Artisan recently issued a new version of Uno (7.1) which supports
"CallOperationAction" explicitly, along with other specific Activity related
types. You might want to consider upgrading if you are using the UML

I am having some difficulty in sparx EA with sequence diagrams.
Sequence diagrams in EA rely on the use of operations. An operation in

I think it depends on the tool you're using to model SysML. I'm using
Artisan Studio Uno (it's free) and here when you create an operation you can
add parameters. For each parameter you can assign the type of the parameter

Firstly, thanks for u answers. i try it, but i didn't find how to
choose a part of my system as parameter in SysML.the only things that
is available is Enumeration as Instance value and user-defined value.
i fear that isn't possible.

How to select the reigthFrontWheel part already design in my model?
