Anyone in our group have any experience with advertising supported free applications on iPhone? I'm looking for opinions on best results (if any), ease of adding to your code, stuff I'm probably not thinking of?

What do you guys think of this stuff?

I've been considering admob for my current project. I'm not far along enough to evaluate it yet.

I'm probably going to do admob as well. It look fairly straight forward, just looking for people's opinions.

I believe we used AdMob in the Grackl phone app. That wasn't my area, though, so I don't have any practical experience with it. I can say that it seemed to work fine in both the simulator and on the device, and didn't really get in the way when I worked on other parts of the app.

You could also use AdWhirl. <http://blog.admob.com/2009/12/16/open-source-adwhirl-iphone-sdk-and-server-launched/>. They used to be independent, but got assimilated by AdMob back in the summer. Man, I'm just reading that the big fish assimilated AdMob: <http://blog.admob.com/2009/11/09/google-to-acquire-admob/>.

All roads lead to Google... :-)
