Subject: issue when configuring symfony2 after config.php

I am getting the following error after going through the config.php setup:

No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Here are some suggestions:

   - Reload <http://localhost/Symfony/web/app_dev.php/_configurator/> this
   webpage later.

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection
without sending any data

Any idea why this might be happening and how to fix it?
