Hi,

I would like to ask you, what relationship has Symfony Simple CMS and Symfony CMF Standard Edition.

I thought that Simple CMS is just an example of "simple CMS" build on the top of Symfony CMF and Standard Edition of Symfony CMF will be clean repository for my new CMS. But in Symfony CMF Standard Edition I see dependency on SimpleCMS - https://github.com/symfony-cmf/symfony-cmf-standard/blob/master/composer.json

What package should I use if I would like to build "my new CMS"?

hi,

the simple cms is just a bundle providing a kind of show case of how a
cms could look. it needs to be integrated into a symfony project.

the symfony cmf standard edition is a template symfony project that
shows how to integrate that bundle and others to build an actual cms.

if you start a new project, take the standard edition. if you have an
existing project, look at the doc, particularly
http://symfony.com/doc/master/cmf/tutorials/installing-cmf-core.html for
how to add things into the project.

hope that helps.

Thank you. It is a little clearer for me now.
