hi,everyone,
I am learning S60 C++ application developing,I have the book,just as
indicated in my subject,<<Symbian OS C++ for Mobile Phones>>.It's
published in 2003 and based on QUI,my concern is that i am learning
S60 developing but this book is based on QUI rather than S60,so could
i use this book for self-learning or had better pick up another book
more suitable and exactly on the very platform?
Someone helps me! Thanks in advance!

Br,

Hi,
You definitely need another book. "Symbian OS C++ for Mobile Phones"
volume 3 or Jo Stichbury's "Symbian OS Explained".

I think it's too old too. You need a book which describe 3rd edition
platform (Symbian 9.x). Its have significant changes. Especially in
Platform Security. Also best IDE is Carbide.c++.
