I had this email half-written before Pete's reply, so I'm a +1 for the
dabeaz link.

I found generator expressions/functions particularly useful for processing
a series of images (eg frames in a video) from a filesystem walk. I was
applying a series of transformations without worrying about list

you can use a form of list compression that creates a generator rather than a list.

I've done a fair bit of GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL) and used Python, but have yet to combine the two. I do intend to do so at which point I'll volunteer for a talk.

I'd love to see a talk on Fabric as no one has done that before.
I'd also love to a see a talk on using GPU for computing in python.
Also, since the last couple of django meetups have been hacknights, I'd love to see a beginners django talk.
Anyone else got an idea of what they'd like to see a talk on?
