Hi all,
Couple of things:
I'm in the UK until the 24 of this month. I week have space/mass in my luggage for the return journey if anyone needs to buy stuff here in the UK, I can bring it back. Though please nothing that's going to get me cavity searched. Let me know and I'll send you the address.

Secondly, there was an election? Does that mean I owe $100 fine now :-(

some coffee-mugs (one would do) from Harrods. If its possible but I
don't know if you are going past there.

I think they are about $25. That's my budget.

I did have some but ex-wives claimed my last lot - as they do.

There's a Harrods outlet in most of the Heathrow terminals.  After security, so will not be going in the main luggage.

I know but the selection is limited and the prices are much more.

Something from the specials bin normally is fine.

Plus, find out what happened to Nick and his representations of the
sydney hackerspace.

Tonight I was lucky enough to find the speakers for his audio project.
They were from an old notebook that I salvaged and are tiny and cute.

I'm interested to hear if he found his hundred people or just caught a
ryanair flight down to greece and partied the summer away as people do
there.

Re the election, they will send you a grumpily worded fine notice,
(rather than a please explain letter, etc), but you just need to reply
that you were outside your local government area - IE, in the UK.
They typically do not need evidence, but you could always ask the
Border Agency if they can stamp your passport as you leave the UK; or
hang onto your boarding pass. Shengen member countries automatically
stamp and entry to, and exit from, the area.

You can bring most canned foods, etc back too.

My friend's son ate my can of this:

Sainsbury's, and perhaps other supermarkets there, have CO (Carbon
Monoxide) detectors at a reasonable price, which are a good idea if
you have gas or wood heating, cooking, etc. They are particularly
important of you have a pregnant partner, etc, as the unborn child
absorbs CO from the mother's blood, causing significant reduction in
IQ - but also giving the mother an apparently clear reading in any
test. They typically run on 3 AA cells.

Bunnings and Masters do have them here too, and so do the RACV
shopfronts - in fact cheaper than the aforementioned duopolistic
hardware chains.

And if you buy Steph one (I expect she has gas heating, being "down
Mexico way"), and she thinks it strange, you can always blame the
suggestion on me - she will understand. :)

Julian.

Ah hopefully that will suffice, thanks for that.
I don't think we're going near knightsbridge (Harrods) but I can pick you up a mug from the airport I think.
25 dollars or pounds David? And how many cans do you want Julian?

Hi Kris,

Heathrow Harrods mug would be fine. Price limit as follows:

25.00 AUD
= 16.2157 GBP

That's very kind if you are able to do that.

Hi,
I have your mug!
Unfortunately the co2 monitor and the canned carbonara were not so forthcoming.

See you in >23 hours
