Hi there,

does anybody know, what max. size a raw device under ASE 11.9.2 could
have? Is the size still limited to 2GB?

Tanks

Hi Heiko,

I looked up the book "Whats new in Sybase ASE 11.9.2"
I didn't find anything about changing device-sizes, so I gues that it is still
2 GB

That depends on your server not Sybase. You will find the answer on the
Sybase tech site. On HP it is still 1.7G.

With 11.5.1, the raw device size is 5GB.  I'm assuming that this limit was
carried into 11.9.2.  If you use this raw device as a file system, you are
then limited to your OS.
