Cassini Significant Events
for 09/17/99 to 09/23/99

Spacecraft Status:

The most recent spacecraft status is from the DSN tracking pass on
Tuesday,
09/21, over the Canberra tracking station. The Cassini spacecraft is
in an
excellent state of health and is operating normally. The speed of the
spacecraft can be viewed on the "Where is Cassini Now?" web page
(http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/cassini/today/)

On Sunday, 09/19, the MAG instrument powered-off, concluding the High
Gain
Antenna Science Mini-Sequence and post-Earth Magnetotail Observations.

Upcoming Events for the period of 09/24 - 09/30 include:

The SRU-A power-on and calibration on 09/27 and 28.
