Sorry about the lag in new group member approval

Hi folks, since the list was getting a ton of spam back when it was first created, we set up the group to moderate first-time posters. This worked fine for years, but I just checked the moderation queue and there were about 6 messages sitting in there waiting for approval. In the past, the group emails the moderators when a message needs approval. But for some reason it suddenly is NOT sending these notification emails, so we had no idea these messages were in there. I'll try to figure out what's going on, and I have approved the messages that were waiting.

Just a quick follow up, it appears this is affecting a lot (if not all) groups. There are a lot of posts about this in other groups as well.
