Ushahidi Community Updates: mailing lists, next Dev Call

We've done some soul-searching on the number of Ushahidi communications channels. Our goal is to make it easier for the community to build a sharing ecosystem. So, far the big changes we've made are to move to Github Issues for technical issues and launching the Enhanced Wiki for community documentation and collaboration.
We are merging mailing lists to have two instead of many:
All of the Ushahidi developer
groups will merge into one list to include Swiftriver, Mobile, Designers and more. The main technical
developer connection list is now - devel...@list.ushahidi.com. This
gives all technical community members a chance to learn and engage
across the various tools. We hope you will join us. To sign up, send an email to developer...@list.ushahidi.com. This is already an active community list. We hope that you will join us there.
comm...@list.ushahidi.com is the mailing list for all things Ushahidi - how to deploy, community topics, best practices, map topics, developer topics (if you wish) and more. This will incorporate academic groups well. We aim to have deployers of all types and organizations to meet and talk. We hope that you will elect to join us by sending a subscribe email to "community-subscribe" <community...@list.ushahidi.com>.
The change is effective May 4, 2012. We will be retiring this list.

The community call is intended to be monthly, with varying start times to accommodate different timezones. A recording of the call will be published here shortly after its conclusion.
