Subject: AJAX testing with SWEA
Which of SWEA API functions could be useful for AJAX testing? Are
there lots of functions in SWEA API which are specific to AJAX
testing? Or is there only one function
SWExplorerAutomation.Client.Scene.WaitForActive(time) which allows
determining a new active scene (even after AJAX execution)?

1.      The scene identification can be run automatically or manual. For regular Web pages (no AJAX) SWEA uses IE complete events to automatically run identification. For pages with AJAX SWEA uses simulated AJAX complete events. The AJAX complete events can be enabled in SWEA project settings. SWEA monitors IE HTTP activity and simulates the AJAX complete events. To monitor the complete events you can use SWEA HTTP LOG (Accessible from SWEA Designer).  If automatic indetification failed you can use explorerManager.RunIdentification to manuaaly run the identification.
2.       For pages where new UI elements are created in java script you can use IsOptional property of a Control class. The optional controls are activated on demand when acontrol is accessed.

Thanks for your reply, Alex. I'm really impressed with your solution
of the problem of AJAX testing (AJAX complete event). Does AJAX
complete event allow us to test AJAX functionality just as we test
regular web functionality? Ajax complete events, isOptional
property..What else could be useful (and I must know) for AJAX testing
with SWEA?
